Sunday afternoon, October 28, Monticello Baptist Church had their annual fall festival. This year’s event was a hayride. Kids and adults alike gathered on two wagons for a brisk ride through the country to see some beautiful scenery.

Warren RECC employees would like to invite everyone to a retirement reception honoring Sara Cannon. Sara has worked for Warren RECC for 43 years and will be retiring on Friday, November 2, 2012.
The Boys & Girls Club of Butler County held their 2012 Annual Awards Dinner on October 25th, at the Butler County Educational Complex. The theme of the evening was “Celebrating Sixteen Years of Service to the Children of Butler County.”

The obstacle course, pony rides and bouncy inflatable house had to be cancelled due to cold temperatures and wind, but this year’s fall festival at Morgantown Care and Rehab still went on as planned. It was just moved inside.

Lindsey LaRae Porter and Chad Avery Young were united in marriage September 29, 2012 during a sunset ceremony on the beach of Ocracoke Island. In loving memory of their father, the late Danny Porter, Lindsey was given in marriage by her brother, Josh Porter.

The NJROTC hosted the Navy Day Ball at Butler County High School on October 20, 2012, in honor of the United States Navy’s 237th birthday. Mr. Scott Howard, Superintendent of the Butler County School System, Mr. Patrick O’Driscoll, Principal of BCHS, and 100 cadets with dates were in attendance.
