Porter-Young wedding

Lindsey LaRae Porter and Chad Avery Young were united in marriage September 29, 2012 during a sunset ceremony on the beach of Ocracoke Island. In loving memory of their father, the late Danny Porter, Lindsey was given in marriage by her brother, Josh Porter. Serving as maid of honor was the bride's best friend and future sister-in-law, Elizabeth Nicole McKinney. Serving as best man was the groom's father, Brent Young. Also witnessing the couple exchange their hand written vows were Chad's mother, Lisa (Graham) Young, his sister and brother-in-law, Brittany and Jeremy Alexander, Lindsey's mother, Donna Flener, and sister, Stephanie Michelle Seibert. The ceremony was performed by the couple's dear friend, Scott (Duke) Nevins.

A reception was held on October 13, 2012 at the Family Life Center of Cool Springs Church in Morgantown, Kentucky, where lots of family and friends enjoyed viewing a slide-show of the wedding ceremony, visiting with the newlyweds and a great dinner catered by Up In Smoke Barbeque.

After honeymooning on the Islands of Ocracoke and Cape Hatteras, the couple returned to their home in Lexington, Kentucky, where Chad is employed as a Corrections Officer at the Lexington-Fayette County Detention Center and Lindsey is an investigator with Child Protective Services.
