Merry Christmas from the Butler County Knitters and Crocheters. We were blessed to have 247 hats, scarves, ear-warmers, messy bun hats and gloves to donate this year, and over 200 baby hats for the Medical Center newborns.

The Memorial Christmas Trees at Jones Funeral Chapel are once again up and decorated. For over 20 years, individuals have brought ornaments to the funeral chapel to honor their departed loved ones. What started with one tree has now grown to three.

Amerifest 2017-2018 Wee Miss KY Beauty Supreme winner Emalyn Southerland placed higher in the 2018 Amerifest KY State pageant held in Lexington, KY on Friday night November 16th.
Each year the Green River Museum honors someone who has either impacted or preserved Butler County history. The 2018 Impact Award recipient was educator Alma Jean Hocker in recognition of her life and work.
