Students need to make sure they have filled out their KBA ballots in the library if they have read two of them for the KBA Celebration Announcement Party.

AR’s 250 Point Club, Top Box Top Collectors, some students who have read all the 2012 KBAs, and STLP’s top fundraiser, Trevor Daugherty will go on a field trip Friday, April 27th to visit Barnes & Noble to pick out a free paperback and to see Disney’s new documentary Chimpanzee.

1. Welcome back. Hope everyone had a great Spring Break.  The 4th nine weeks progress grades will be going home this Friday, April 13th.

1. Butler County Schools and Butler County Emergency Management will conduct a safety drill involving Butler County Middle School on Thursday, April 12th beginning at 1:00 PM.  During this drill Butler County Middle School students and staff will be evacuated from school grounds and emergency vehicles and personnel will practice a live simulation of emergency procedures.  Once again this is only a drill involving only Butler County Middle School on Thursday, April 12th at 1:00 PM.

1. During the week of March 26-March 30, BCMS will have a spirit week in honor of Relay for Life.  The Relay for Life team will be asking each homebase to bring in change for Relay for Life.
 
Monday-  Rock that Hat day-- students pay $1 to wear a hat to school
Tuesday- Extreme Hair Day
Wednesday - Lounge Around Day- students pay $1 to wear loungewear to school
Thursday - Abnormal Day- students wear mismatched clothes
Friday-Yee Haw Day- dress as country as you can!!!

The Butler County School district will begin using the new Spring Menus on Monday, March 19. Any questions can be directed Hazel Short, director of Food Service and Nutrition, at 526-5624.

1. B.C.M.S. Won the 2012 BRIMS Regional Bridge Building Contest!

Butler County Middle School will present awards for the spring 2011 K.C.C.T. tests on Friday, March 9th and Monday, March 12th.

On Friday, March 9th the current 7th & 8th grade students will be recognized for their Proficient and Distinguished scores on the spring 2011 tests.  

The awards ceremony for the current 8th graders will begin at 8:15 a.m.

Below is the agenda for the special called meeting of the BCHS SBDM Council scheduled for Thursday, March 8 at 4:30 in the library. The regular monthly meeting was rescheduled for this week due to the boys basketball team’s participation in the regional basketball tournament. Due to this being a special called meeting, items cannot be added to the agenda.
