School News
1. Butler County Schools and Butler County Emergency Management will conduct a safety drill involving Butler County Middle School on Thursday, April 12th beginning at 1:00 PM. During this drill Butler County Middle School students and staff will be evacuated from school grounds and emergency vehicles and personnel will practice a live simulation of emergency procedures. Once again this is only a drill involving only Butler County Middle School on Thursday, April 12th at 1:00 PM.

2. BCMS is so proud of our STLP students! They competed in the STLP State Competition in Lexington this past Thursday and here are the results:

1st Place - Ava Tuck - Original Art
2nd Place - Mason Howard - Original Art
4th Place - Hayden Johnson - Graphic Design
1st Place - Mikayla Iler, Hannah McClelland and Hannah Perry - Fundraiser
Honorable Mention - Gracie Grubb, Olivia Jones, Madison Ford, Kane Gott and Evan Johnson - Geek Squad Ready

Two Showcase groups made it to Tier 3 judging and received an award:
KBA - Gracie Deel, Lauren Tyree, Haley Hope, Macy West & Ivy Donaldson
Geek Girls - Addison Hall, Allie Easley, Hayden Johnson & Tori Shain

3. BCMS Band received a Distinguished Rating this past Friday at the KMEA competition in Madisonville. Congratulations to the BCMS band members and Mr. Flener for a job well done!

School Events
1. Thursday, March 29 – BCMS baseball will be playing Bowling Green Middle at home at 5:00 p.m.

2. Friday, March 30 – BCMS Jr. Beta will be going to Bowling Green during the day to see Hunger Games movie.

General Information
1. BCMS Cheerleading clinics and tryouts will be held April 25th, 26th, and tryouts on the 27th. Sign-ups will begin Tuesday, April 10th- Friday, April 13th. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Smith-Thomas.
