Each fact below came from AXS A Year In Review: 1988.  I was 9 years old that year, so it was cool to see this show and what went on in entertainment back then that I might’ve forgotten in the past 34 years.

When Garey’s mom, Aggie, was a little girl, her family had a dog named Fido.  Anytime, a snake got in the yard, Aggie’s mom would yell, “Sic ‘em, Fido!”  Fido was glad to oblige, grabbing up the snake with his teeth and shaking the critter till it was good and properly dead.

What was the longest-running television spinoff? Dallas ran on CBS from 1978-1991.  The spin-off, Knott’s Landing, ran from 1979-1993.  T’s rare that a spin-off has a longer run than the original.  However, according to IMDB, I have a little more spinoff information.
