Thoughts:

            For years I heard it said that with the money spent putting a man on the moon, there could have been found a cure for cancer.

Recently, a guy came into my office at work and said, “You have a music degree and you play guitar, right?”

            “Yes,” I answered.

            It seems like every few days, we are treated to some confusion relative to the subject of the male and female genders. In the last several years, we have heard about school systems dropping terms such as “boys” and “girls” and encouraging the staff to use only “gender-neutral” terms. I remember about a decade or so ago, there was a Bible produced that billed itself as the “Gender-neutral” Bible!

DYING TO LIVE-Years ago, right around the time when I was first diagnosed with cancer, there was a song that came out which for me personally, brought loads of comfort. It was almost as if someone was following me around and taking notes, then decided to put my story to music. The song is called – live like you were dying. The song speaks of a man being in his early 40's with a lot of life before him when a single moment came that changed everything.

Reduce Your Reflux

Every artist had to start somewhere.  Sometimes the idea is solid.  The name? Not so much.  Here are a few examples of what I mean.  I believe you’ll recognize these bands, if not at first.

Recently I’ve been thinking about family entertainment. With the winter break only a couple of weeks away, I anticipate many of us will want to find ways to entertain our family. I did a little online searching for family activities and found several nearby.

Until this past weekend, Garey’s mom, Aggie, had not been in her own home for two weeks.  She has been living with Garey’s sister, Charlotte, for the last two weeks, because she lost the feeling in her left leg while on the way down her side walk to the mail box one day. 

            In the long ago, Solomon said, “And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh” (Ecc. 12:12). Solomon’s words ring true today, don’t they? When we think of all the books in existence on earth, the sheer volume is staggering! Perhaps one reason why there are so many books in existence is that many books have the wrong information in them!
