Against The Grain by: Andy Sullivan

Stopping a person from repeating an act that you do not approve of by causing this person misfortune upon the next attempt of this act.  That is the definition of “break ‘em from sucking eggs”.  I tried looking in Miriam’s Dictionary.  It wasn’t there.  Sometimes you have to go to www.urbandictionary.com

Our news sources regularly report political happenings. Thinking about our nation and all the recent political news, I decided to read some politics quotes. Lookin' Thru Bifocals Don Locke

The word, omen, was rarely, or not at all used by older folks of my generation. They said, “TOKEN.” The two words are virtually the same. They both meant sign, or indication, a symbol of a future event or happening; good or evil.

Jarrod Jacobs: God Sees What Man Does Not See

When Samuel was sent by God to anoint one of Jesse’s sons as the next king, he was sure that he had found the new king when he saw Eliab (I Sam. 16:6). “But the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. Jarrod Jacobs: “What Is Your Attitude Toward The Bible?”

Attitude is defined as: “manner, disposition, feeling, position, etc., with regard to a person or thing” (Webster’s). I know many possess a great attitude toward the Bible. Yet, not all men do. Some deny that the Bible is the truth (Jn. 17:17). Others deny that it is inspired (II Tim. 3:16-17). Such people discourage knowing the Bible among those who are influenced by them. There are also people who claim to believe in the truth of God’s word and yet refuse to obey what His word says.
