Things that come to mind, not in any order.

We will not hesitate to either criticize or support government actions when we believe it’s warranted.  Both are needed because free speech still exists in most places in America (outside of Seattle and some other urban areas) and because reasonable, well-intentioned people can and do have honest disagreements.  That is to be expected.  

I knew a sweet little girl, once.  She was about the age of my oldest daughter.  I feared for her, I hurt for her, I hoped for her.  I visited her home.  I can’t remember the reason.  It was one of those houses, not just cluttered, but also dying from neglect.  I met the little girl’s mother.

What was Noah’s wife’s name (Gen. 7:13)? Did Noah and his wife have any other children besides the three boys (Shem, Ham, Japheth) we read about in his 950 years on earth (Gen. 6:10)? Why do we read about Adam and Eve’s three sons and not the other children (Gen. 5:4)? Why are we only told of incidents happening to Moses as a baby, at age 40, and after that, we are only told about Moses’ life from ages 80-120 (Ex.-Deut.)?

As pandemic guidelines are evolving, I’ve been thinking about changes we’ve experienced so far this year. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website alone has posted over 200 guidance documents related to the coronavirus since February (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/communication/guidance-list.ht...).

Recently I saw the admonition “practice openness.” I suppose the definition of openness would be “it is the opposite of put-on.” Once I asked a young woman what her cousin was doing now.

“Puttin’-on I guess,” was her answer.

On Friday afternoon at our work, a couple of vehicles pulled into our parking lot, the side that faces the convenience store next door.  One was an RV, the other a van/bus.  They were painted in multi-colored green and brown earth tones.  The plates said Indiana.  Barefoot young people piled out of the vehicles.
