Renovations to Granville Allen Post 5837

It has been thirty years since the Granville Allen Post 5837 has been updated.  This summer an interior facelift was performed giving the post a new, clean look inside. The majority of the renovations have been overseen by Commander Jim Parker, Vice Commander Andy Gidcumb, and local contractors.  The walls have been repainted, new trim will be added, all 600 tiles in the ceiling have been replaced, and a new roof installed.  However, they are not done yet!  Next on the list of renovations will be the bathrooms and the kitchen.

Frank Hobbs, Painter

I am constantly in awe of the artists we have in Butler County. The talent here is impressive, and it never ceases to surprise me. The artist I had the pleasure to meet for this interview was Frank Hobbs. Yet artist doesn't encompass a complete description of Mr. Hobbs. He paints, volunteers, and teaches; he's a giver.

Butler County Arts Guild Member Exhibition

For the last several months I have been interviewing several artists living in Butler County. While I can snap photographs of their pieces, it ultimately does no justice to see the works of art in person.
