MES Lighthouse Team Prepares for 100th Day of School

The Morgantown Elementary School Student Lighthouse members traveled to Bowling Green on January 29, 2016 in search of 100 prizes for the 100th day of school celebration. Students were on a mission to select items for both boys and girls to be given away Monday afternoon, the 100th day of school.

Mr. Barry & Mrs. Joanna Embry of Morgantown and John & Martha Schaeufele of Bowling Green announce the engagement of their daughter and granddaughter, Ammi Embry to Daniel Carter, son of Mr. Jimmie & Betty Carter of Monticello, KY. A date has not been set for the wedding.

Daniel and Ammi both work and live in Nashville, Tennessee and are in software development.

North Butler Elementary's Spelling Bee Winners

Shelby Parrigan, Johnny Staples, and Maddie Jones

On January, 29th 2016 North Butler Elementary held the annual school-wide Spelling Bee sponsored by Ford Motor Company.  Classroom overall winners from grades 3-5 competed in the school wide competition while Kindergarten – 2nd Grade winners were recognized at the event.  5th Grader Johnny Staples from Mr. Felty’s class came out the overall winner.  2nd place went to (3rd grader) Maddie Jones from Mrs. Parrish class followed 5th grader Shelby Parrigan from Mrs.

Super Wash now accepting credit cards.

Super Wash, in Morgantown, has taken a leap forward in technology this week with the successful implementation of a credit card acceptance system.

This system will change the way you decide to pay for your car wash. You pull up to the wash and discover you have no cash or change, no problem, just swipe your credit or debit card.

MB&T's Birthday Cake Contest Winner Collin Tomes

Collin Tomes was surprised on Tuesday when Morgantown Bank & Trust delivered a birthday cake to Lifeskills.  Collin who turned 22 on January 22, 2016 was the winner of the Birthday Cake Contest. He and his co-workers enjoyed the cake.  Happy birthday Collin!!!!

Little Hats Big Hearts Inspire Crafters

The Butler County Knitters and Crocheters have donated approximately 125 little red hats to the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Kenna Martin, Butler County Library director, brought the Little Hats Big Hearts program to the group and other local crafters just after Christmas.
