The Butler County Sheriff’s Department now has new tools to help with law enforcement, and to help the deputies and staff handle their duties more efficiently. Sheriff Scottie Ward unveiled his deputy’s new cruiser computer systems, and is pleased with the results so far.

 President Runion welcomes members and guests Thursday.

Following a rousing round of applause for the BCHS boy’s basketball team who, minutes before, had just finished their game in Frankfort Thursday, Chamber president, James Runion welcomed everyone to the first chamber luncheon of 2013. The meal was furnished by Green River Caterers.

The Barren River District Health Department is working to raise awareness about the dangers of radon gas.  Radon is a naturally occurring, invisible, odorless, tasteless gas that is dispersed in outdoor air, but which can reach harmful levels when trapped in homes and buildings.
