Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward

The meeting of the Butler County Fiscal Court on Monday night started as a routine regular session with a short agenda. When it ended almost two-hours later Butler County deputy sheriffs were on strike after another heated battle over the budget for the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

Teresa Montgomery, of Delta Faucet, made a surprise visit to Morgantown Elementary on Wednesday afternoon.  Montgomery crashed the joint staff meeting of Morgantown Elementary and North Butler Elementary to present a check for $25,000 to the teachers for the Leader in Me program.

Roger Givens, Cody Donaldson and Josh Hampton turns petition in to Butler County Clerk Sherry Johnson

The petition for a local option election, “Are you in favor of the sale of alcoholic beverages in Butler Count, KY?" was filed in the Butler County Clerk office on November 6, 2015. According to Butler County Clerk Sherry Johnson the total number of signatures on the petition was 1893.

Butler County Clerk Sherry Johnson joins other clerks in presenting the check.

Butler County Clerk Sherry Johnson recently visited the Western Kentucky Veterans Center(WKVC) in Hanson, Kentucky.  County Clerks in the western district collected $15,000 from donations for bird houses made from old license plates.
