Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

 On Monday, December 7, 2015 at approx. 11:10 am a traffic stop was conducted by the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green on Logansport Road in Butler County.
 
The operator of the vehicle, Timothy West (43) of Morgantown, was found to have an active Butler County Indictment  Warrant issued for his arrest.  West was taken into custody on the warrant and during a search some illegal items were located.
 
West was arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail.  The Butler County Grand Jury Indictment charged him with Abuse of Public Mistrust (Less than $10,000).  West was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Drug Unspecified), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and various traffic related charges.
 
West was arrested by Trooper Briston Smith and he was assisted by Trooper Josh Amos.  The investigation is still ongoing and no other details can be released at this time.
