Although summer is roughly at its halfway-point, summer break for students is gradually coming to a close. Butler County Schools are set to start the 2022-2023 school year in a little over two weeks.  The first day for students is Wednesday, August 10.

BROWNSVILLE, KY, JULY 20, 2022- Edmonson County Attorney Greg Vincent has filed to run for the vacant 38th Judicial District seat that includes Edmonson, Butler, Ohio, and Hancock Counties. Vincent made the announcement today at a special event at the Edmonson County Courthouse.

Sheriff Scottie Ward and SRO Deputy Jasna Chamings

Butler County Sheriff, Scottie Ward swore in his first female deputy on July 1, 2022.

Deputy Jasna Chamings will be working as bailiff and school resource officer at North Butler Elementary and Morgantown Elementary.
