Butler County Fiscal Court held a called meeting on Tuesday, August 16, 2016.  All members were present.  There were four items on the agenda, all being passed unanimously in the brief meeting that lasted less than thirty minutes.

A 21-year-old Bowling Green man admitted stabbing his father Sunday while they were attending a 9:30 a.m. service at Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green, according to police.

There were several Butler County citizens at the Butler County Extension Office for a meet and greet with Congressman Brett Guthrie and his staff.

2016 Back to School Bash was a huge success.  A total of 422 (255 from the elementary and 167 from middle/high) students received free school supplies.   The bash featured free swimming, food, and fun for kids along with getting their free school supplies.
