The Butler County Conservation District was recently recognized as the Kentucky Association of Conservation District’s Outstanding Conservation District for 2012 at the 69th Annual KACD Convention in Louisville, KY.

Butler County native, Navy Commander Bobby D. McPherson is serving aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Enterprise as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sunday morning August 5th, Monticello celebrated its annual homecoming. Bro. Randy Burns gave a short welcome before introducing bluegrass-gospel group Higher Ground. This marked the fifth consecutive year of the group performing at our homecoming. The church is 207 years old.
