12 children graduate from Story Hour at BC Public Library

The Butler County Public Library held their Story Hour Graduation recently. Story Hour participants entering head start, preschool, or kindergarten were recognized during the event and received a free book. The graduates were Lydia Brown, Marvin Brown, Grant Jones, Millie Cardwell, Zachary Gwathney, Madison Jones, Garrett Phelps, Tristan McClintock, Kayleigh Deweese, Lily Glass, Madison Baker, and Avery Gidcumb.

Library Director Kenna Martin said, "This graduation ceremony is a way to thank the parents for bringing their kids into the library, and for getting them involved in the library at such an early age."

Martin added, "This program has been going on at the library for over 30 years. We never have to advertise for it because people just know it is here."

The Story Hour program is free to all children between ages 3-5 and is held at 10 am on Tuesdays year-round at the Butler County Public Library. Toddler Tales, for 1 and 2 year old children, is held on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
