Barren County has one, Butler County has one, Edmonson County has five, Logan County has three, Simpson County has 12, and Warren County has 20. Our district has one death reported from COVID-19. We stand in solidarity with those affected during these difficult times.

Gov. Beshear Urges Need for Continued Sacrifice on Tough Day in COVID-19 Fight

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 31, 2020) – Expressing condolences, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Tuesday that seven more Kentuckians died after becoming ill from the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and urged Kentuckians to continue to take precautions and sacrifice to stop the spread.

Bill increasing access to medical care, sponsored by Rep. Sheldon, signed into law

Frankfort, KY (March 30, 2020)- Legislation sponsored by Rep. Steve Sheldon of Bowling Green to increase access to health care by allowing physician assistants (PAs) to prescribe certain controlled substances was signed into law by Governor Andy Beshear last week. Kentucky is the only state in the nation that does not allow PAs to prescribe some level of controlled substances.

Questions About the Stimulus Package?

Dear Clients & Friends,

President Trump signed into law the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, (CARES Act), a $2 trillion stimulus package to mitigate the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The CARES Act includes stimulus payments of $1,200 for each individual and $500 for each dependent child, defined by the child tax credit rules as under age 17.

Gov. Beshear Urges Kentuckians to Remain Vigilant on Social Distancing

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 29, 2020) – Gov. Andy Beshear pressed Kentuckians on Sunday to remain vigilant about social distancing amid reports of crowding at golf courses, basketball courts and home improvement stores to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and reduce the risk to others.

Gov. Beshear said people and businesses must do better to stop the spread of COVID-19 or risk undoing the sacrifices and efforts of everyone else.

The 2020 Census counts the population in the United States and five U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
