The Bears had a very busy week, playing 4 games in week 2 of the baseball season.  Despite cool weather, the Bears were hot, winning 3 of the 4 games they played.  The victories came over Whitesville Trinity, Todd County, and Breckinridge County.

The University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University dodge ball teams met at Butler County High School Thursday Night to raise money for BCHS Project Prom.  With both teams ranking top 10 in the nation on their respected polls, the matchup made for a great night of dodge ball.

Shaedy Scott

Shaedy Scott, a junior at BCHS, unofficially broke Butler County’s girl’s 100 meter dash record.  The record was previously held by Elizabeth Hilliker with a time of 14.18 seconds.  Scott broke the record last week with a time of 14.11 seconds.

Butler County Bears' Softball brought home the runner-up trophy at the Mayfield Ice Creamier Battle by the Creek at Paintsville, KY.

The Butler County High School softball team had a productive trip east over the weekend, going 3-1 and finishing runner-up at the Mayfield Ice Creamier Battle by the Creek Tournament, hosted by Johnson Central High School in Paintsville.

Daviess County didn't put up much of a fight on Wednesday as the Bears cruised to a blowout 11-1 win in five innings at Butler County.
