Butler County Youth Baseball Association is ready to kick off another season and welcome back players to the ball fields.  This will be BCYBA’s second year playing under Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Organization and the league organizers would like to build on the very successful inaugural year!

The Morgantown Elementary Patriots Classic was the first tournament open to schools outside of the county. There were a total of 24 elementary, middle and high schools and 650 archers registered for the tournament.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 13, 2016) — The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Commission took another step toward its goal of increasing Kentucky’s elk population at a faster rate by proposing hunting season modifications and setting season dates at its Jan. 6 special-called meeting.

Saturday, Jan 7th, Belmont Lady Hawks hosted their 2017 Volleyball Invitational Tournament with Valor Christian Academy, Sugar Grove Christian Academy, and Faith Homeschool joining Belmont Christian Academy in the tournament.  The first round saw Belmont defeat Valor and Faith defeat Sugar Grove.

The holiday break and inclement weather have slowed the pace of games for the Butler County Bears as of late, having only played a couple of games over the past two weeks.

Ryder Harbaugh was selected as a 2016 Baseball Youth 10U All-American. Ryder played in the Baseball Youth All-American Games powered by Easton from December 19-21 at the New Seminole County Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

The Butler County Lady Bears dropped a pair of home games over the past week to solid Third Region foes.  Butler County fell 45-34 to McLean County on Friday
