The Butler County Longbeards will be hosting the 14th Annual National Wild Turkey Federation Hunting Heritage Banquet on March 31, 2012 at the Butler County Education Complex Building.  Doors will open at 5:40, dinner at 7:00 pm.

Shortstop Madeline Drake makes the falling catch

Butler County (1-1) found itself on the wrong side of the score on Monday night at Muhlenberg County in prep softball action.  In the varsity game, Butler County's bats were outmanned by Mustang pitcher Nikki Peveler as the Bears fell 7-0.

The youth soccer sign-up deadline has been extended to March 26.  If you already have a sign-up form you may turn that in to the school OR you may mail it to Youth Soccer, 180 Old Dairy Rd. Morgantown, KY  42261 along with the registration fee.

The BCHS tennis teams kicked-off their 2012 seasons this week.  The girls are off to a 2-0 start, while the boys split their two matches, for a 1-1 record.

In its season opener, the Butler County High School Bears' softball team won an extra inning barn-burner, defeating the Apollo E-Gals 5-4 in ten innings at Owensboro.
