The BCHS Bears football team looks to build on their success from last season when they kick-off their 2012 campaign this Friday night when they travel to Logan County. The Bears advanced to the second round of the KHSAA playoffs last year and ended their season with an 8-4 record.
The Morgantown-Butler County Swim Team had 3 swimmers to take part in the Bluegrass State Games on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
Cameron Joiner swam in 2 individual events and 1 relay, his relay team received a medal for the 200 Medley Relay.
With the start of school comes the beginning of fall softball for Butler County Middle School. Practicing daily since mid-July, the team opens its 2012 season today, Saturday, August 11, at home against Christian County at 4 p.m.

The Butler County Lady Bears Volleyball team kicked off their 2012 season on Tuesday night by hosting the Lady Cougars of Grayson County. The JV team started things off 4-0 behind the strong serving arm of Raven Grubb. The Lady Cougars quickly answered and took the match 2-0.

On July 28th Morgantown - Butler County Swim Team competed in the Southwestern Conference Championship Swim Meet. The Southwestern Conference consist of 5 teams, Southland Family Fun Center, Glasgow Aquatics Club, MBCST, Scottsville YMCA, and Portland, TN.
The All A Regional Golf Tournament was held Thursday morning at Hidden Valley Golf Course. The top team and the top two individuals will move on to the state tournament September 8th.
