BCHS Head Football Coach: Applications being accepted, plans are to fill position before Christmas

With the recent resignation of Butler County High School head football coach Ryan Emmick, the school is moving relatively quickly to fill the position.  BCHS Principal Michael Gruber is heading up the hiring process and has already received five applications.

"I would like to be able to make an announcement before Christmas," said Gruber.  "My plan is to have interviews either next week or the week after."

To assist in the hiring process, Mr. Gruber has formed a hiring committee that includes Assistant Principal Adam Gish, a parent representative and a representative from the Butler County Board of Education.

Current BCHS Athletics' Director Brandon Embry, a longtime assistant football coach, will not be involved in the hiring process due to the fact that he is an applicant for the head coach position.

Ryan Emmick led the Bears for eight years as head football coach, was an assistant coach at Butler and Ohio counties, and played college ball at Kentucky Wesleyan University.
