Years ago, when my friend, Josh Hampton, and I wrote for another paper, he wrote a column about a man who called him out because he (Josh) didn’t specify p.m. after the number “6” in an announcement about chili being served at a local event.  Seems the guy turned up at the event at 6 a.m.

House Budget Loaded With Debt, Raises Taxes to Cover Costs- The top duty of the Kentucky House of Representatives, pass a two-year budget for Kentucky, finally came to fruition this week, some eight weeks after the Governor first proposed a budget plan. 

Working in education for over thirty-two years increased my appreciation for the learning process. It’s a process we use in every aspect of our lives – whether learning appropriate behaviors or gaining knowledge and skills. Generally, we can learn at any age.

When reading the Bible, we understand that our redemption from sin is the theme of the book. Yet, it never ceases to amaze me to see how this simple theme and prophecy concerning a coming Savior can be so misunderstood by people.
