While staying in during this cold January weather, I’ve had time to learn a few things. Some of them are mentioned below.

My husband, Garey, is not one of those guys who overlooks my weaknesses and accepts me just the way I am. I know this because he tells me so. Garey is a fusser. If I do something he doesn’t like, I’m going to hear about it. Granted, after thirty-eight years, it’s water on a duck’s back.

You’ve Gotta See It Live-You know by now that I love going to concerts and ballgames. This past Saturday January 11, I had the opportunity to see Kentucky/Vanderbilt at Memorial Coliseum in Nashville. Before going to the game, we grabbed burgers at Braiz Bistro, a local eatery next to the gym.

Many diseases exist that I don’t understand, and ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, often called "Lou Gehrig's Disease") is high on that list. I have known only a couple of people who have had this disease.

Sometimes I wonder if we as human beings have a time/date stamp on our emotions like we do physically on our hearts and brains. A time and date when we’re done with certain feelings, when we’re filled up, when we say, “no more.”

What does this title mean? Put simply, it means that we, as humans, have the ability to choose how we will live our lives. Though all things are created by God, God gave man the ability to do something that plants and animals cannot do.
