Billy E. Blanton, 73, of Eastview, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his home.Survivors include his children, Mark (Leslie) Blanton, Tim (Cynthia) Blanton, Jon Blanton and Tony Blanton; a grandson, Corey Blanton and a granddaughter, Jodi Blanton.
Martha Hill Spradlin, 96, of Bowling Green, formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the home of her daughter. The Butler County native was a homemaker and co-owner of Butler County Hardware.

The Lord welcomed Pauline on Friday, April 13, 2012. Pauline was loved by all and was a very loving and caring person. Graveside services will be at the Fannie Rone Cemetery in Morgantown, Ky. Services honoring her will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 1:00p.m. at the cemetery.

Willie Warren "Buck" Drake, 83 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at his residence. He was a Butler County native, son of the late Elwood and Leitha Belle Brown Drake. Willie was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the Masonic Lodge and retired from G.E. in Louisville, Ky.

Vernon Brooks, 59 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Butler County native, son of the late Ancil and Dora Mae Burden Brooks. He was a member of Reedyville Lodge #438 and was a drywall hanger and finisher for many years.

Roger H. Johnson, 61 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. He was a Butler County native, son of the late Everett Johnson and Geniva Fields Johnson who survives. He was a farmer and of the General Baptist faith.

Alan Staples, age 46, of Morgantown passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012, at his residence. The Indiana native was born April 25, 1965. He was an electrician, farmer and a maintenance worker and a member of Monticello Baptist Church.
