Josh Smith, editor of the Three Forks Tradition in Beattyville, which is owned by his family, will be representing District 10. He is filling an unexpired term and will serve through the January 2019 KPA Convention.

FRANKFORT - Unemployment rates fell in 119 Kentucky counties between November 2015 and November 2016, and stayed the same in Carlisle County, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training.

The Butler County Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, December 13, at the Butler County Education Complex. All board members were in attendance.

The Butler County Grand Jury returned indictments against nineteen individuals on December 13, 2016. Charges include murder, drugs, receiving stolen property, theft, and wanton endangerment. Arraignments have been set January 4, 2017, at 9:00 am.

Roundhill, KY (December 19, 2016)-  The Butler County Grand Jury issued Indictments for four subjects in connection to the double murder that occurred on November 9, 2016 on Region-Reedyville Road in rural Butler County where two bodies were discovered in a burnt vehicle.
