The Butler County Grand Jury returned indictments against 16 individuals on March 19, 2013. Charges include drug trafficking, burglary, forged prescriptions, and manufacturing methamphetamine .

The Morgantown City Park housed this year's annual Morgantown Bank and Trust Easter egg hunt for local children. Countless items were given to many of the children whose names were drawn out of a box. Several were drawn before the hunt began, and many more were drawn afterwards.
