Butler County post offices have been a central part of local communities for several years, which brings many to wonder why a few local post offices aren't staying open as long, or have closed down altogether.

Lawrence R. Freeman, 64, of 1043 Dimple Road, Morgantown, was arrested Tuesday morning in Russellville and charged with first degree robbery. At approximately 9:45 a.m. the Logan County Sheriff’s Department was notified of an armed robbery at the Lewisburg Banking Company in Lewisburg, Kentucky.
