Dewey Shepherd, of Johnson Hollow Road, Morgantown, wrecked on Friday morning, April 24. A little after 10:00 a.m. emergency personnel responded to an accident on Brooklyn Road. Shepherd was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger. According to law enforcement officers, he left the road and hit a tree.

Butler County Fiscal Court and the Morgantown City Council joined efforts to host the 3rd Annual Clean-Up Days over the weekend. Boat Factory Road stayed busy on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as the county road department collected over 250,000 pounds of junk from residents as of 2:30 p.m.
