The children in Ms. Katrina Graham's class decided not to buy gift for each other but buy gloves and toboggans for the foster children in Butler County. Ms. Graham was a foster/adoptive parent for Butler County several years ago and she is very familiar with the needs the children have.

The Hughes family would like to thank the Butler County fire fighters for your timely response to our home on Saturday evening. Your professionalism helped turn a potential disaster into a happy ending. We hold each of you in high regard and wish all of you a Merry Christmas.

The spirit of Christmas is never as evident as it is in the words of children. Each year Beech Tree News prints letters to Santa written by students at North Butler Elementary. Letters to Santa reaffirm the message of the holiday season as they brim with a sense of hope and innocence.

To the family, friends, fellow church members, and co-workers: if you stopped to visit, brought a dish, said a prayer, sent flowers in memory, or just kept us in your thoughts, thank you. To Dr. Wan and his staff, no amount of words can express our gratitude.
