The 2010 US Census reported that poverty in America has increased for the fourth year in a row with over 15% of the population living in poverty. In the 10 county area served by Community Action of Southern Kentucky, this equals to 42,629 children, seniors and individuals living in poverty.

Morgantown Turned PINK on Sunday, October 30, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The event was organized by Audrey Porter and Becky Hankins. “We wanted to recognize the survivors and increase awareness of breast cancer,” said Porter.
