The Reedyville RD Club hosted the September meeting of the Butler County Fiscal Court on Monday night. All members were present. A potluck meal was served by the ladies from the Reedyville RD before the meeting. After everyone had dined the business portion of the meeting commenced.

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Heston Arnold, Trevor Cardwell, Timothy Carroll, Madison Embry and Cody Lockhart of Butler County High School have been named Senator Jeff Green Scholars by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) for their outstanding academic performance in high school.

A new business is opening in Morgantown! Blanford Auto Sales & Details, LLC, opens Tuesday, September 4. This new business is located at 20 Veteran’s Way, on the lot between the Farm Boy and Garcia’s restaurants.
UPDATE: According to law enforcement Christina Gunterman,23, of Owensboro was north bound when her SUV crossed the median and hit the tractor trailer owned by Fikes Truck Line of Arkansas. The truck went off the right side of the parkway and overturned.

On Saturday September 1st, a book signing was held for "Images of America: Butler County" a book written by Roger G. Givens, retired newspaper publisher, and Nancy Richey. The book is part of the "Images of America" series published by Arcadia Publishing in South Carolina.
