Effective at 3 p.m. today, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is urging Warren RECC and its members to reduce electric usage as much as possible. Artic temperatures are causing greater demands on the electric system, which could affect reliability.

I.H.C., KY Copper agree on payment plan

UPDATE: According to Morgantown Mayor Billy Phelps, he recieved an e-mail on Friday, February 13, 2015 stating that Kentucky Copper would be unable to make the agreed payment on Sunday, February 15, 2015.

Former Clerk Shirley E. Givens presents her final check to the court.

In addition to passing the first reading of a Right to Work ordinance on Monday night, Butler County Fiscal Court received the last settlement from former Butler County Clerk Shirley E. Givens, as well as hearing a report on economic development.

The courtroom at the Butler County Courthouse was packed with union workers on Monday night as Butler County Fiscal Court once again addressed passing a Right to Work ordinance.  After much discussion, magistrates voted 4-1 to approve the first reading of the ordinance for Butler County.
