The Barren River District Health Department is working to raise awareness about the dangers of radon gas. Radon is a naturally occurring, invisible, odorless, tasteless gas that is dispersed in outdoor air, but which can reach harmful levels when trapped in homes and buildings.

Emergency workers were dispatched to Hwy 70, Rochester Road this morning in response to a single vehicle accident. Caleb Johnson (DOB 12/25/85) was traveling east on Hwy 70, hit a slick spot and flipped his 2008 red Toyota truck four times.
