The Butler County Knitters and Crocheters meets each Monday from 11:00 to 12:30 in the meeting room of the library.  There are usually 15 ladies there and they many different types of crocheting or knitting.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new "Reeds Ferry" will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 10 am. The event will be held on site at the ferry located on KY 269 in northwestern Butler County. The community will be celebrating the 'Bridget Renea" the new Green River ferry barge.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5837 Ladies Auxiliary with the assistance of Ms Linda Tyree and Ms JoLynn Reed will hold a program on the Buddy Poppy on Monday September 24 in the cafeteria for the 2-3 graders at 9:00-9:30 and the 4-5 graders at, 10:00-10:30.

The Rochester Arts, Crafts, and Music Festival was held on Saturday and was a huge success.  The park saw a steady flow of people that enjoyed games, cars, trucks, music, crafts, motorcycles, tractors, beauty pageants, plenty of food, and a lot more. There were activities for every age group.
