A change in location due to wet field conditions did not dampen the enthusiasm as 136 terrapins were entered in the Green River Catfish Festival Terrapin Race.  Held earlier today at the Eva J. Hawes building, the annual event is always a crowd favorite.

The second day of the Green River Catfish Festival Beauty Pageants combined two pageants.  The boys and girls 0-23 months and 2-7-year-old girls competed on Saturday morning.  All participants received a medallion.   Winners included:

On Saturday night of the Green River Catfish Festival, the Miss Butler County Fair pageants were held.  Young ladies ages 8-12 years competed for Miss Pre-Teen, ages 13-15 years competed for Miss Teen, while the 16-21-year-olds vied for Miss Butler County Fair.

The first night of the 2016 Green River Catfish Festival kicked off with the Miss Butler County Catfish, Miss Teen, and Miss Pre-Teen pageants open to Butler County residents only.

Saturday, June 25 marked the 2016 edition of the Quality Cruise and Swap held in downtown Quality, Kentucky.  There were plenty to do and see all day.  There were all kinds of cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles on display.  There were hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, desserts and soda

The Butler County Retired Teachers met Monday, June 13 at noon at the Education Complex. President Fred Tate welcomed everyone after which a catered meal from Green River Caterers was enjoyed by all in attendance.
