Butler County Retired Teachers meet

The Butler County Retired Teachers met Monday, June 13 at noon at the Education Complex. President Fred Tate welcomed everyone after which a catered meal from Green River Caterers was enjoyed by all in attendance. The business portion of the meeting included an announcement that our Butler County KRTA/AARP Grandparent essay winner, Delaney Daugherty, was also the district winner. Mr. Tate also encouraged members to write their Kentucky senators and representatives a note of thanks for the recent legislative developments on our behalf.
The program was presented by Butler County Chapter NSDAR Regent Georgia Romans. It included a Flag Quiz with questions about the United States Flag since June 14 was Flag Day. Several DAR members were in attendance as guests of the Retied Teachers.

While at the complex the Butler County DAR chapter presented a Flag Certificate to the Butler County ATC for their proper display and care of the United States Flag which flies in front of the building.
