On Tuesday, April 30, 2019 Butler County had a total of nine entries for 4-H Region 6 Communications Day. Everyone did an outstanding job! To make it to the regional level the participant must have first won at a county level.

Three local young ladies participated in The Inner Glitter Pageant this weekend in Hartford, Kentucky. The pageant was created by Matilda and Paisley Patterson, a mother, and daughter who wanted to give those with special needs a platform to sparkle.

When Kentucky’s high school freshmen start school in the 2020-21 school year, they’ll be expected to complete a new financial literacy course or program to graduate. Courses or programs that meet the financial literacy standards are now a requirement for high school graduation.
Saturday morning, April 20, Monticello Baptist Church had an Easter breakfast of pancakes and bacon for the kids in the community, followed by a short lesson by Bro.

MES students participated in the Junior American Citizen stamp and poster contest with the local Butler County National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The state ceremony is on Saturday, April 27 in Bardstown, Kentucky.
