The Butler County NJROTC cadets attended the Paducah Tilghman High school 7th annual Tornado Triumph Sports Challenge on September 15th. The unit was split into two teams and the total attendance was forty-eight cadets.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new "Reeds Ferry" will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 10 am. The event will be held on site at the ferry located on KY 269 in northwestern Butler County. The community will be celebrating the 'Bridget Renea" the new Green River ferry barge.

The Rochester Arts, Crafts, and Music Festival was held on Saturday and was a huge success. The park saw a steady flow of people that enjoyed games, cars, trucks, music, crafts, motorcycles, tractors, beauty pageants, plenty of food, and a lot more. There were activities for every age group.
