Lexington, KY, July 30, 2012 — John W. McCauley, State Executive Director for the Kentucky USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), announced that continuous sign-up for the Highly Erodible Land (HEL) Initiative under the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) started on July 23, 2012.

Beech Tree Media has teamed up with the non-profit group Cell Phones for Soldiers to collect and donate used cell phones to the program. The cell phones collected are sold to a recycling company and the money received is used to purchase phone cards.

The Little Muddy RD Club met July 16th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.  There were 23 people present.  The meeting began with Bill Hatcher leading the club in the pledge to the American flag.  Jeremy Hudnall gave the blessing for the meal.
