Willis Gene Allen, 74 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab. Willis was born on Monday, May 11, 1942, in Ohio County Kentucky to the late Willie and Josie Bratcher Allen. He was a member of Zion Harmony General Baptist Church and a welder by trade and a fisherman by choice. He loved his family, and his family loved him. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by on sister Thelma Dockery, one brother Willard Jones, one nephew Danny Dockery and one son in law Bill Tarrance.
Willis Gene Allen is survived by two sons Bobby Allen of Morgantown, Ky. and Billy Allen and wife Heather of Morgantown, Ky.; two daughters Mae Tarrance of Caneyville, Ky. and Rita Curtis and husband Robert of Caneyville, Ky.; one sister Ann Philpot and husband Harold of Morgantown, Ky.; one brother William Jones of Beaver Dam, Ky.; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 10:00 am with Bro. Gary Embry officiating.
Burial will be in the Zion Harmony Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, from 3:00 pm - 8:00on and Thursday 8:00 am until funeral time at 10:00 am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
