William Sidney Douglas

William Sidney Douglas, 82, of Bowling Green was reunited with his wife in heaven surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 5:34 p.m. at the Medical Center.

He was born November 7, 1931 in Warren County to the late William Leonard and Elsie Mae Anderson Douglas. He is the husband of Juanita Pearl Belcher Douglas who died October 16, 2013. They were married for 63 years. He was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Jean Douglas Lancaster. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church but attends Crossland Community Church. He was retired from the Coca Cola Plant/Clark Distributors after 45 years as the Production Manager. He was a former member of the Jaycees and one of the original members of the Gospel Christianaires Singing Group. He was active in his grandchildren's events. He worked and attended all Warren Central Baseball games, loved the outdoors, fishing, and camping. He has touched the lives of many, and above all he loved helping others.

Survivors include his daughter: Sheila Douglas Dismon and her husband Mike of Bowling Green; son: William Eugene Douglas of Morgantown, Kentucky; grandchildren: Leslie Douglas Edmonds and husband Brian, Shelly Douglas, Jordan Johnson and his wife Madeline, and Erica Nicole Johnson and her fiance Seth Morris all of Bowling Green; three great grandchildren: Keiley and Lexie Douglas and Destiny Edmonds; sister: Virginia Armour and husband Gary of Bowling Green; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Also his faithful little dog Pinky.

Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel.
