William Coots

 William Oakley Coots, 73, of  Dunbar, Ky. passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at his residence.  William was born August  17, 1943,  in Butler Co., Ky. to the late Oakley and Ruby Flener Coots.  He was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church, and Banock Lodge 824. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and liked to watch Cincinnati Reds Baseball, Kentucky Wildcats Basketball and entertaining his grandchildren. William was a retired foreman from A&G Tree Service.  He was  preceded  in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Coots Flener; brother Jimmy Coots.
William is survived by the love of his life of 24 years, Norma Proctor and her children and grandchildren, Scotty Proctor (Dana), Derek Proctor, Austin, Autumn, Kaleigh, Jake and Evan Lewis Proctor, Kierra Neighbors all of Morgantown; 2 daughters, Kimberly Barrow of Morgantown and Deloris Hayes of Bowling Green; 4 grandsons, Doug  Pagoria (Melissa), Chris Roberts, Dakota Roberts (Haley) of Morgantown; Aaron Coots of Morgantown; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Hayes of Bowling Green, Hannah Barrow of Morgantown; 3 great-grandchildren, Natalie Pagoria of Franklin, Mason Leezer and Clayton William both of Bowling Green; 5 brothers, Leon Coots (Joyce), Cammie Coots (Ervel) both of Louisville, John Coots (Sharon), Jerry Coots (Donna), Vic Coots (JoAnn) of Morgantown; 7 sisters, Kathy Politano of Indiana, Christine Davis (Gerald), Gwen Lee and Jean Leake all of Louisville, Kay Dwyer (Buddy) of  Clarkston, Washington, Barbara Willoughby (Larry) of Greenville, Marsha Flewallen (Ken) of Bowling Green; sister in law, Victoria Coots of Bowling Green; brother in law, Earl Flener of Morgantown; several nieces,  nephews and friends and extended Evans family, David (Kathy), Virginia, Donnie (Linda) and Lisa Evans.

Funeral Service will be held at Aberdeen Baptist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 2 pm with Bro. Roger Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in the Aberdeen Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 12  from 11 am to 8 pm at Smith Funeral Home and Tuesday from 9 am til time of service at Aberdeen Baptist Church. Masonic service to be held at 7 pm Monday night at Smith Funeral Home.   Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
