Wendell Ray Miller, age 89 of Beaver Dam, KY passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at his residence. Wendell was born on Wednesday, August 8, 1934 in Cromwell, KY to the union of the late J.W. and Alma Marie Drake Miller. He was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ and a United States Army Veteran. Wendell was a Archery State Champion for 2 years and National Champion for 3 years. He loved telling stories from his past and reading the Bible and studying the scriptures daily. Wendell enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and leather tooling. He also enjoyed doing taxidermy, quick draw and archery. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by twin sons and one brother Virgil Miller.

Wendell Ray Miller is survived by his wife of 64 years Hazel Gidcumb Miller of Beaver Dam, KY; three children Donna Kay White (Gare) of Provo, KY, Teresa Pierce (Steve) of Morgantown, KY and Cindy Cockerel (Darrin) of Caneyville, KY; 7 grandchildren Christopher, Neidra, David, Brian, Dakota, Melinda and Dillon; 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 1:00pm with Bro. Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Sandy Creek Cemetery where military rights will be presented by the Ohio County AM VETS . Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 4:00 pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
