The Bears Lunchbox Express traveled through town on Friday, June 21 to make it's daily stops to area children throughout the county. Free lunches were provided Monday through Friday with a total of over 1,000 meals provided at the end of the week.  Family Movie Day took place at the Butler County Public Library on Thursday, June 20. ‘Space Dogs’ was played as part of their summer space theme. 

 

Butler County 4-H held a cooking camp and competition on June 19-21 at the Butler County Extension Office. The day long event consisted of different cooking related activities to teach children how to prepare and manage foods as well as safety in the kitchen. Children competed in a game modeled after ‘Chopped’ the reality cooking t.v. show to prepare different meals in a certain amount of time and judge them to choose a winner.

Morgantown's first ever Farmers Market was a success. Vendors were set up on Saturday, June 22 from 8 a.m. to noon and members of the community were able to shop a variety of local products.
