Vivian Janet Smrtic, 97 of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday February 29, 2020 at her residence. Vivian was born November 6, 1922 in Hopewell Junction, New York to the union of Philip Henry and Sadie Mary Smith McCowen and wife of the late Anthony J. Smrtic. She was a retired library tech and homemaker. Vivian loved horses, she competed in trail and ring competitions winning over 100 ribbons and spending time with her family and friends. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Vivian Janet Smrtic is survived by two sons Gary S. Smrtic (Gail) of Morgantown, KY and William S. Smrtic (Lorraine) of Morgantown, KY; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister Carol Jane Haddad of Ossining, New York and several nieces and nephews.
