Viva Jean Hunt, 73, of Morgantown, Ky.  passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  Ms. Hunt was born March 15, 1940 in Butler County, to the late Ellis and Velma Tarrence Phelps.  She worked at Kellwood as a seamstress.  She also enjoyed raising a garden and canning, shopping at flea markets, fishing and being with her grandchildren.  She was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Connie Hunt, parents, two infant brothers Buddy and Oral and one sister Adaline Johnson.
 
Viva Jean is survived by one son Connie Joe Hunt of Morgantown; three grandchildren Beth Martin and husband Jason Martin Sr. of Sneedville, Tn., Tina Hunt of Morgantown and Travis Hunt and wife Ashley of Morgantown; four great grandchildren Bryleigh Madison Hunt, MaKayla and Kendra Jackson and Jason Martin Jr.; two sisters Jolene Hunt and husband Elmer of Morgantown and Shirley Smith and husband David of Morgantown; one brother George Phelps and wife Betty of Morgantown and a host of nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Friday, February 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Gary Embry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.
m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
