Vickie Lynn Dykes Childress

Vickie Lynn Dykes Childress, age 51, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her residence.  The Surgoinsville, Tennessee native was born December 20, 1960.  She was a homemaker and the daughter of the late John and Hattie Scism Dykes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Stewart officiating.  Burial will be in the Sandy Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, March 26, 2012 from 5-9 pm and from 8 am until time of service on Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home.

Vickie is survived by her husband James Childress of Morgantown, two stepchildren; James Matthew Childress of Morgantown and Catherine Jeanette Martin and husband Jonathan of Woodbury, two sisters; Linda Henderson and husband William Russell of Surgoinsville, Tennessee, and Kathy Dixon of Church Hill, Tennessee, two brothers; Dwight Dykes and wife Lee and Jerry Dykes and wife Charlotte all of Church Hill, Special Friend Bobby McKinney, several nieces and great nieces, special children; Hayden and Raigen Russell of Kingsport, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her brother James Atlee Dykes.
